An Idea Born… on a Treadmill!
Humabloom was born in Venezuela in 2024. At the time, Manon POINT was working for a large international NGO, responsible for fundraising and partnerships with local organizations.
During a meeting with local organizations, several partners expressed a clear need: training in accessing institutional funding. The need was there—shared and urgent.
That very evening, while training for a half-marathon on her treadmill, an idea took shape: create an online platform allowing teams from local organizations to train at their own pace, with just an internet connection, anywhere in the world. Humabloom was born.
A Collective Adventure
Back in France, Manon decided to fully commit to the project. Convinced that this was her most meaningful way to contribute to the humanitarian sector, she laid the first foundations.
A few months later, she shared the idea with Elise VIDAL, a former colleague she had met in Ukraine. Elise was immediately enthusiastic and joined the adventure. Together, they combined their experiences and transformed Humabloom into a project designed to be co-created, collaborative, and grounded in the realities of the field.
A Context That Shakes… and Strengthens
In early 2025, the closure of the American agency USAID disrupted the global humanitarian sector. Faced with this uncertainty, we chose to postpone the project’s launch.
But instead of seeing this situation as an obstacle, they decided to turn it into an opportunity. They embarked on a support program for project leaders in Occitanie (France).
Over the months, through meetings, exchanges, and constructive challenges, the project gained clarity and strength. Gradually, Humabloom took shape: the website entered the development phase, and the first training modules began to emerge.
Today, the Project Takes Shape
After several months of work and reflection:
- The website is under development,
- The first training modules are being created,
- The vision is clearer and stronger than ever!
